Moving On is Never Easy

Moving on is not an easy thing to do. We get used to the things that define us and they seem to become woven into the fabric of our being even when they are not who we really are.

Childhood experiences and memories often pop up out of nowhere. A smell, a sound, an expression on someone's face. Old hurts that we thought were well buried can rush to the surface given the right combination of events.

It's hard to turn your back on those things that you've decided to let go of years earlier when they manage to wiggle there way back into your life and your consciousness.

It would be so much easier if we could just erase the thoughts and feelings we've decided we don't need by pressing delete and launching them into the recycling bin our our desktop.
